Sweetberry Farms

On Saturday after Blake's football game we loaded up the boys, plus Parker, and Wade, Kimberly, Jax, and Lawson and went to a Pumpkin Patch at Sweetberry Farms. My Boys!

Tyler is holding himself up to get his face in the frame. That face is crazy!

Sweet Lawson sat here for the longest time so content.

How cool is a boat full of pumpkins?

We could not get a good picture with all the boys! Sweet Parker isn't even looking at the camera.

Gray driving the tractor full of pumpkins and Parker hitching a ride.

Parker Poo.

All of us, except Jerm and Sam, on the hayride.

Wader and Jax.

Sam was busy getting a tractor painted on his face. I can't believe he chose face painting over the hay ride. Oh well!!

Again, way too hard to get a cool picture with the truck in the background! Tyler, Lawson and Jax are doing pretty good, but poor Sam and Blake they couldn't hang on to those boys.

Gray and Parker aren't having it. I must of said "Don't throw the pumpkins!" about 50 times.

Rub a Dub Dub 5 Boys in a Tub

This past weekend Lindsey and Derek traveled to Atlanta for a wedding. I kept Parker along with my gang and we had a great time. I told Jeremy that I could so have five kids. He looks at me like I am crazy!! It is true that Parker and Gray are like Thing 1 and Thing 2 on Cat and the Hat. Anyway, I had to get this picture. (Tyler wasn't too fond of this. He was in the bath first and slowly the troops started climbing in. Ty usually showers to avoid this from happening.) I really don't think that one more boy could fit in this tub.

#1 Texas and #2 Alabama

When it comes to football we are so HAPPY around here! Texas and Alabama are doing so good. It is really fun. The boys rotate between their Alabama and Texas t-shirts all the time. I wish I had a recent picture. I just had to give a shout out to our two favorite teams, even though in our hearts, well maybe just mine and Blake's, Alabama is #1. The boys ask me if I will ever be Longhorns fan and I say "When I have lived in Austin as long as I have lived in Alabama, I might consider it." Roll Tide!!!

Blog Shmog

*this is the only picture I have to post. I am such a slacker.

I know, I know, I have not been on top of my blog. I really like to blog and I have had my blog since Sam was 4 months old, so it is almost three years old. I love letting my friends and family know what is going on. It has been a crazy five weeks around the Self household. We are loving what God is doing at Free Chapel, but it is keeping us so very busy. Here are a few highlights from the home front. (you can catch up with Free Chapel on jerms blog.)

1. Jeremy and I took a trip to Atlanta for our good friend Brent's wedding. It was awesome. We stayed with our dear friends the Burton's. We saw so many college friends and South Florida friends. Did I mention we didn't have our kiddos with us? I read all the way to Atlanta and all I carried on the plane was my purse. Wow!!! I owe Lindsey big time for watching my boys.

2. Blake is loving football and Tyler starts basketball this week.

3. Sam is really funny. Quick Story: I was praying for the boys before I dropped them off at school and at the end I said "and everybody says...amen" and Sam said "No Mom! And all God's people say...amen."

4. Gray loves cell phones, keys, and shoes.

Finally

Free Chapel launched, Yes we did!! This is the reason I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks. We are so stinking busy it is not even funny. You can check out all the details at my sweet husbands blog. You know he is super excited. Here are just a few pics to share with you. Jason Martin, our worship pastor, and his fiance, Paige leading worship. Can I just say what a blessing it is to have both of these people joining the team? We love y'all.
Everyone leaving after church. Do you see the blue thing in one guys hand? We handed out Frisbees at the end of service with Free Chapel info on them.
Jerm bringing the word. Too bad I missed it, but I heard it was awesome and he does go over it with me before Sunday. I get a little sneak peek.

I shouldn't be blogging

I really shouldn't. We have our huge Grand Opening for Free Chapel this weekend. I have a list a mile long. Anyway, I can squeeze this in right?
Blake started this Fall playing football. We wanted to sign him up for tackle, but it was filled because we are slackers. Flag was still open and we jumped on it. Now that he is playing flag we think we made the right decision. I think he is probably the youngest player. He turned 5 in late July and is in a league of 5-7 year olds. Yikes!! Thank goodness for Flag. Another good thing is that he is really learning the game.
If you look closely you will see that Gray has a huge bandage on. (He is crying in this picture because he wanted something, not because he was in pain.) This little accident happened while we were scurrying around trying to get everyone ready for the game by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. One of the boys (he shall remain nameless) was swinging a flashlight. The top of the flashlight and the huge D batteries came flying out and hit Gray in the head. Just imagine blood running down his face and all over his pajamas. No worries, we patched it up (maybe needed stitches not sure, it was an executive decision) gave him some Motrin and headed to the game. The life of having four boys!!!
Jeremy is the assistant coach. He loves it, but man does he get a workout during the game. He says it is like herding cats.
Did I mention that they haven't won a game? Bless their hearts!!

Blake on the sidelines. Not one of these three are even watching their team or what is going on behind them. Blake needed some go juice.
We had to get a mouth piece shot. It is just way too cool.
Parker was super happy at the game.

For Jax

My nephew Jax loves school buses. He always says "TyBlake bus". He names them as one. Hilarious. So, here you go buddy. Happy Birthday Apple Jax, who turned 2 today. We love you.

Can you believe he is three?

Sam is such a happy kid. He has always been this way. He couldn't wait to turn three. A month ago he asked me if he was three yet and I said no and he said "it's taking forever"!! Finally...sweet Sam!! Happy Birthday Sam, Sammy, Sambo, Samster, Sammy Sosa!! We love you!!
August 31st 2005 Like I have mentioned before, I let the kids pick their birthday dinner all by themselves. I don't suggest or talk them into any of it.
Sam's Birthday Dinner Menu: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Chips and Dip, and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream in a Cone!!
Easy Enough!!!

Labor Day Birthday

We celebrated Sam's Birthday on Labor Day this year. We had a wonderful time, even Tyler and Blake were saying that it was the best birthday. It is kind of funny because we didn't send out invitations. We invited family and a neighbor family of ours (Sam's only request) and started at Chick-fil-a for lunch and then went to Rock and River Aquatic Center. Sam wanted a blue birthday party. That is all he wanted. We made blue cupcakes and blue kool-aid and swam all day long. They look like they are having fun on the lazy river.
Parker trying out the water wings!
Blake, Aunt Lindsey, Gray, Uncle Derek, and Parker
Kimberly, Jax, and Lexi

"Not too much Uncle Derek" (This is an inside joke.) We were at a wedding when Tyler was 2. Derek was eating cake and Tyler said "Not too much Uncle Derek." It was really funny. Jeremy and his sweet Papaw!!
Kimberly and Lawson! (a.k.a. LawDog)
It looks like Gray's hair is being blown, uh no, it is actually just like that. What am I going to do with his hair?
Honey (jeremy's mom) and Gray!!

I love this pic of the boys chilling by the lazy river.
(Ty, Blake, Jax, Jackson, and Sam)
Sam unwrapping presents. He played all day the next day with his toys. I am not sure he has really ever had his own toys. That is awful.
Parker enjoying the sucker and the gift opening.
I love wood toys.
